About this mod Machine translation
This is a core (Highlander) mod for XCOM2 designed to fix bugs, add features and functionality, and make the game slightly easier by including new events and classes.
Introduction
This mod is a core mod, a Highlander mod, whatever you want to call it. Only one Highlander mod can be installed at a time, so I tried to make this mod as versatile and mod-friendly as possible, with as few modified classes as possible. No class extensions, just direct modifications, so in theory any mod should be compatible with this class
This mod has several purposes. I want to make some modifications to the base game to fix bugs, change some small features of the game, and work on some other mod ideas I may have. But eventually it became an idea to create a core mod that could help others modify the game, possibly ultimately reducing mod conflicts, providing more events, fixing some bugs, etc. It has a built-in options menu, some extra event registration helper functions, additional events added to native classes, etc. A further description of writing and compiling Highlander mods in general can be found here:

Documentation
So I don't need to copy a ton of information, the constantly updated Google Doc documentation for this mod can be found at the link below. Some basic information (such as installation help) will be duplicated on Steam, but more detailed information is available from this link.
Install
For the build, just unzip everything into your game's Mods directory. It should be located at: steamapps\common\XCOM 2\XComGame\Mods\ABECoreMod.
For the Steam Workshop version, all you need to do is subscribe to the mod. It should download and install automatically.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
