This mod changes the behavior of the player's ship's exploration commands. While the vanilla AI navigates to the nearest undiscovered space and waits in many locations, it flies in expanding concentric circles, ignoring any existing discovered spaces. It flies to different waypoints in a circle, waits for the gravidar to finish scanning, and then repeats the operation with a larger radius. It is complete when it has explored a certain radius around the center point of the order.
It takes the ship's radar range into account, so if you have another mod that changes the radar range, this mod will adjust its behavior to match.
Install
Extract this zip file to Documents/X4/<numbers>/extensions. You may have to create the extensions folder yourself - that's okay.
