Ultimate Engine Tweaks

🎮 **Welcome to the ultimate engine optimization module for "Infernal Affairs: Lost Feather"! **

After several months of testing the UE5 engine, I will share the final **"Engine.ini"** modifications carefully customized for this game.

✨ Mod Targets

My goal is to integrate as many optimizations as possible (covering CPU, GPU, RAM, SSD) to achieve the following results:

  • 🚀 **Eliminate most lags**
  • 📈 **Improve overall performance**
  • ⚡ **Reduce input lag**
  • 🖼️ **Improve picture clarity** (such as optimizing film grain, motion blur, removing chromatic aberration, optimizing DLSS/FSR oversampling and anti-aliasing, reducing ghosting and flickering)

**All optimizations are done without loss of visual effects, introduction of glitches or crashes! **

🔍 If you want to know **exactly** what each optimization does and its combined effect, check out this detailed description.

🤔 How to choose between "VRR" and "No VRR" versions?

  • **VRR** stands for variable refresh rate, corresponding to NVIDIA's G-Sync or AMD's Freesync.
  • You need to check if it is enabled in your NVIDIA/AMD control panel** and** display (monitor/TV).
  • ✅ **Both Enabled**: Please use the **"VRR"** version of the mod.
  • ❌ **Not Enabled**: Please use the **"No VRR"** version.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
  3. Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.

Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
