⚙️ Advanced customization (optional)
If you're not satisfied with the default keys, you can customize them by following these steps:
- Navigate to `%LOCALAPPDATA%\Project_Plague\Saved\Config\Windows\` (Steam version path, Gamepass version path may be different).
- Use a text editor such as Notepad to open the file named `Engine.ini`.
- Paste the following configuration line at the end of the file, and modify the key value after the equal sign (for example, change `PhotomodeKey=F7` to `PhotomodeKey=P`).
```ini
[/Game/Mods/Photomode/ModActor.ModActor_C]
PhotomodeKey=F7
FreezeAnimationPhotomodeKey=F8
FreezeAllPhotomodeKey=F9
ExitPhotomodeKey=RightMouseButton
CaptureScreenshotKey=LeftMouseButton
MoveForwardKey=W
MoveBackwardsKey=S
MoveLeftKey=A
MoveRightKey=D
MoveUpKey=SpaceBar
MoveDownKey=X
FastMovementKey=LeftShift
SlowMovementKey=LeftControl
IncreaseFOVKey=One
DecreaseFOVKey=Two
ToggleHUDKey=H
TiltLeftKey=Q
TiltRightKey=E
```
**💡 Tip**: You can find all available key names in the Unreal Engine valid key list. In theory, all keys work, and the keyboard and controller keys are definitely no problem.
📦 Installation Guide
Method 1: Install using BP Mod Loader
- Make sure Wuchang Mod Enabler and Blueprint mod loader are installed.
- Download this module and unzip the `.zip` file.
- Go to the `\Project_Plague\Content\Paks\` folder in the game installation directory.
- Create a new folder called `~mods` here if you don’t already have one.
- Place the module’s `.pak` file (e.g. `Photomode.pak`) into this folder. The final path should look like: `\Project_Plague\Content\Paks\~mods\Photomode.pak`
- Open the `Engine.ini` file (see path above) and add the following lines to enable the module:
```ini
[/Game/Mods/WFF_BPLoader/ …
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- There is no universal mod manager for this game: some mods replace game files directly, some go into a game-specific Mods folder, and some need a game-specific community loader or tool first — follow the bundled readme.
- Place the files exactly as the readme says; mods with listed dependencies need those installed too.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; some games require enabling mods in settings or an in-game mod menu.
Install locations vary a lot between games and mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
