About this mod Author’s original text

White Knuckle Trainer

This is a BepInEx plugin. Put WhiteKnuckleTrainer.dll in White Knuckle\BepInEx\plugins — not in White Knuckle_Data\Mods.

Open White Knuckle’s pause menu and select MOD MENU. Shift + Insert is also available. The trainer uses White Knuckle’s native pause-menu controls; it does not use the old IMGUI trainer window.

Native cheat / leaderboard protection

Every gameplay action is routed through EnsureNativeCheatMode(). It runs White Knuckle’s own cheats true command before enabling the action. This sets the game’s cheat state and prevents leaderboard uploads for that run. Turning an individual trainer option off does not restore leaderboard eligibility.

Features

  • Player: God Mode, No Fall Damage, Infinite Stamina, Infinite Ammo / throwables / pitons, No Encumbrance.
  • Movement: Infinite Jumps, configurable finite Multi-Jump count, movement speed, jump height, player gravity, time scale, Fly, Noclip, and Climb Anywhere.
  • Items: curated live item-spawner categories, including trinkets.
  • Perks: live registry browser using White Knuckle’s real AddPerk / RemovePerk paths.
  • ESP: cached item radar, with distance, label-limit, on-screen, and occlusion controls.
  • Cosmetics: dynamically loaded Hand and Hammer cosmetic lists.
  • Tools: diagnostics text export and metadata-only level JSON export in BepInEx\config\WhiteKnuckleTrainer.

Game APIs used

  • CommandConsole.instance.ExecuteCommand("cheats true", false)
  • ENT_Player.GodMode, FlyCommand, Noclip, ClimbAnywhereCommand, AddPerk, RemovePerk
  • Inventory.GetEncumberance() (Harmony override only; inventory contents are untouched)
  • ENT_Player.Damage / Kill (falling-only Harmony protection)
  • CL_GameManager.SetTimescaleMult(float)
  • CL_AssetManager.GetFullCombinedAssetDatabase() and GetItemObjectPrefab
  • Inventory.instance.AddItemToInventoryCenter

Build

Open WhiteKnuckleTrainer.csproj in Visual Studio 2022 and build Release. The output is bin\Release\netstandard2.1\WhiteKnuckleTrainer.dll.

Quick test order

  • Pause → MOD MENU; verify the normal pause-menu button is not duplicated.
  • Enable one Player or Movement feature; verify White Knuckle’s native cheat state activates.
  • Test each Player and Movement toggle, then turn it off and verify vanilla behavior returns.
  • Test a normal item spawn and a trinket spawn.
  • Add then remove one perk.
  • Enable ESP; test max distance, label cap, on-screen-only, and occlusion options.
  • Export diagnostics and level data; verify both files in the config folder.
  • Resume, restart/die, and verify enabled options attach cleanly to the recreated player.

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
