Void Tunnel Decay
Mutator: void-tunnel stability decays on a clock, shorter for high-power ships and risky jumps. The tunnel flickers as the odds climb. Stay long enough and interdiction becomes certain.

Void Tunnel Decay
Version 0.9.2
For Game Version 1.3.0
Developed by Jack
Some AI tooling used
Requires: BepInEx-BepInExPack-5.4.2305, NihilityShift-VoidManager-1.2.11
💡 Function(s)
- Adds a Void Tunnel Decay mutator to the game's Mutators menu.
- While selected, void tunnel stability decays during travel. Stay in
the void tunnel long enough and interdiction becomes certain.
- Using lots of power? Your stability will collapse more quickly.
- Hull Repairs made in the void will reduce void drag and buy more time.
- Doesn't trigger on sectors/quests that disallow interdiction.
- Doesn't run on the jump back into a loaded save - decay only arms on jumps that
spin up normally, matching when the game itself can roll interdiction.
- Grants +25% run XP while selected.
- Allows an additional mutator to be selected (toggleable from mod menu).
🎮 Client Usage
- In the Hub, open the Mutators menu on the galaxy map and select Void Tunnel Decay before
launching a run.
- The F5 menu under Mod Settings → Void Tunnel Decay shows whether the mutator is
registered, currently active, and currently enforcing (rolling), plus what the current jump's
clock was sized from and how much of it is left. It also allows you to turn off the extra
allowed mutator.
👥 Multiplayer Functionality
- ⚠️ All players
- This version requires everyone in the room to have the mod installed.
- Version 1.0 will drop that requirement: only the host will need the mod, and
crewmates who also have it will see the graphical effects as the clock runs.
- Marks the session as modded while selected.
🔧 Install Instructions - Install following the normal BepInEx procedure.
Ensure that you have BepInEx 5 (stable version 5 MONO) and VoidManager installed.
✔️ Mod installation - Unzip the contents into the BepInEx plugin directory
Drag and drop VoidTunnelDecay.dll into Void Crew\BepInEx\plugins, or install through r2modman / Gale.
Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions
- Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
- Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
- For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
- Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.
Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
