Overrides how many items fit in crates

Expanded Crates

Overrides how many items fit in crates. The default is 32, But you can set CrateCapacity in the

F4 menu if you need too, setting it to 0 makes the mod use the default number.

How it works:

Crates size their storage from the selected class data, which is where

the usual limit of 4 comes from when selecting pinata. The mod hooks

entityAvatarPinataCrateGetStorageSlot and rewrites maxObj in the moment

before the crate allocates its storage buffer. The game then uses maxObj to know when to stop letting you select items, Since we already set it to the new amount the game will let you pack up to that limit.

Known Issues:

  • Only applies to new crates.
  • If the CrateCapacity is set too high you might cause heap corruption.
  • Should be fixed: Pinata Central crates would expect increased input too, mod no longer applies to any crates with a starting max capacity of 1 (quick fix)
  • Set FixCrate variable to 1 to retroactively fix this - Don't have any other crates out when you do this

Install & use Install: follow the bundled instructions

  1. Unzip the archive from playbuff and read the bundled readme / instructions first.
  2. Most mods rely on the game's mod loader — the usual route is a community mod manager (such as r2modman): pick this game, install, and it handles the loader and dependencies.
  3. For a manual install, put the mod files into the matching Mod / plugins folder inside the game directory.
  4. Launch the game to confirm it loaded; mods with listed dependencies need those installed as well.

Install locations vary a lot between mods — the bundled readme is the most reliable guide.
