Wolf Commands
A lightweight command package for Valheim 1.0 tamed followers.
Controls
G — Advance
- Commands loaded tamed followers currently following the local player to move forward in the player's current facing direction.
- Advance window: 3 seconds.
- Uses the follower's normal AI locomotion rather than translating/sliding the character.
- If the wolf acquires an enemy during Advance, the command stops interfering and normal MonsterAI combat takes over immediately.
- Follow target is not permanently changed.
H — Recall
- Commands loaded tamed followers currently following the local player to disengage and return.
- Clears the current creature target / alert state during the short recall window to prevent immediately re-engaging.
- Follow target remains the player.
Compatibility / Scope
- Does not write command state to the world save / ZDO.
- Intended to work alongside TamedWolfBalance, Pet Protection, Elite Creatures and LetsGo without altering their persistent data.
Multiplayer
For the most consistent behaviour, install the same package on all players, including the host.
Install
Use r2modman → Import local mod and select this ZIP.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
