About this mod Machine translation
VikingTrainee Viking Trainee
Your skeleton minion has been secretly training as an idol. Feed it an egg and watch it perform.
The skeleton you summoned has actually been secretly working as a trainee. Feed it an egg and watch it make its debut.
English
What it does
Feed a chicken egg to a friendly skeleton summoned by the Dead Raiser staff and it will:
- Turn to face you and put its weapon away
- Show the on-screen text "likes singing, dancing, rap, basketball" ("likes singing, dancing, rap, basketball"), then "music"
- Perform a full dance routine (motion-captured from real footage) while dribbling a glowing Surtling Core like a basketball
- Pick its weapon back up and go back to being a skeleton
One egg is consumed per dance. No new items, no recipes, nothing is saved to your world.
How to use
- Summon a skeleton with the Dead Raiser staff.
- Put a Chicken Egg in your hotbar.
- Aim at the skeleton and press the hotbar number key of the egg.
Background music (optional)
The mod ships without music. To add your own, put an audio file named bgm.ogg, bgm.mp3 or bgm.wav into the same folder as SkeletonDance.dll, then restart the game.
- With r2modman Mod Manager: Settings → Browse profile folder → BepInEx/plugins/-VikingTrainee/
- It must be a real audio file — a video renamed to.mp3 will be rejected (you'd only hear static).
- Volume follows the in-game Music slider; it fades out with distance (silent beyond 50 m).
Notes
- Client-side only. The dance plays on the screen of the player who fed the egg; other players won't see it.
- Only works on the friendly skeleton from the Dead Raiser (Skeleton_Friendly), not on wild skeletons.
Chinese
Function
Use the Dead Raiser to summon a friendly skeleton and feed it an egg. It will:
- Turn to face you and put away your weapon
- "Like singing, dancing, rap basketball" pops up in the center of the screen, and then "music" pops up
- Dance a whole section (movements taken from real-life video motion capture), while holding a glowing Suterlin core as a basketball
- After jumping, take back the weapon and return to normal.
Each jump consumes one egg. No new items or recipes will be added, and they will not be written into the archive.
How to play
- Use the Skeleton Staff to summon a skeleton.
- Put the egg into the hotbar.
- Point your crosshair at the skeleton and press the number key on the grid where the egg is.
Background music (optional)
The mod does not come with music. If you want music, rename an audio file to bgm.ogg, bgm.mp3 or bgm.wav, put it in the same folder as SkeletonDance.dll, and restart the game.
- Installed with r2modman: Settings → Browse profile folder → BepInEx/plugins/-VikingTrainee/
- It must be a real audio file. If you change the suffix of the video to .mp3, it will be refused to play (otherwise you will only hear the sound of electricity).
- The volume follows the "Music" volume in the game settings; the farther away from the skeleton, the quieter it becomes and cannot be heard beyond 50 meters.
illustrate
- Pure client mod. The dance only plays on the screen of the player feeding the eggs, and other players cannot see it when online.
- Only effective for friendly skeletons summoned by the Skeleton Staff. Skeletons in the wild will not jump.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
