About this mod Author’s original text
Vanilla Inventory Plus
Vanilla Inventory Plus adds configurable, vanilla-style inventory quality-of-life tools to Valheim without turning the inventory UI into a completely different interface.
Features
Container Tools
- Sort container contents by Name, Weight, or Type
- Stack All with additional stack consolidation
- Optional compact horizontal toolbar for DownLeft and DownRight
- Configurable toolbar position, spacing, X/Y offsets, and icon tint
- Optional hiding of the original vanilla Stack All / Take All buttons
Player Inventory Tools
- Sort the player inventory by Name, Weight, or Type
- Sorting keeps the hotbar untouched
- Partial stacks are consolidated before sorting
- Compact vanilla-style inventory toolbar
- Configurable left/right placement
Nearby Stash
- Moves matching items from the player inventory into nearby containers
- Only moves item types that are already present in the target chest
- Configurable search radius
- Optional hotbar protection
- Optional restriction to player-built containers
- Configurable hotkey
- Respects container access / ward restrictions
- Skips unsupported transport storage such as carts and ships
Extra Slots compatibility
Extra Slots is optional and is not required to use Vanilla Inventory Plus.
When Extra Slots is installed, Vanilla Inventory Plus uses its API to identify the normal player inventory area. Player sorting and Nearby Stash ignore Extra Slots' special / hidden slot storage.
If Extra Slots is detected but its inventory-area API cannot be read safely, the affected player-inventory operation is skipped instead of touching unknown slot storage.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
