ValheimQuickFill
One-click filling of furnaces and kilns: hold Ctrl and press E to fill up the ore/fuel capacity at once. One-key fill for smelters and charcoal kilns.
About this mod Machine translation
ValheimQuickFill
Fill furnaces and charcoal kilns with one click. Hold down Ctrl and press E to interact with a furnace, charcoal kiln (or windmill) to load ore or fuel up to capacity at once. When Ctrl is not pressed, the behavior of loading the original version one by one is maintained, and the two have no influence on each other.
In Valheim, you have to add ore to the furnace and wood to the charcoal kiln one by one, and the filling speed of long pressing E is very slow. This mod just turns "many points" into "one point full" without changing any recipes, yields or game rules.
Function
- Loading ore: Aim at the furnace, hold down Ctrl + E, and fill the backpack with smeltable ore at once (maximum 10).
- Refueling: Aim at the furnace or charcoal kiln, hold down Ctrl + E, and fill up the fuel at once (maximum 10). When ValheimResinFuel is installed at the same time, the furnace will give priority to filling resin (the same effectiveness as charcoal), and there will be no more charcoal; when the mod is not installed, only charcoal/wood will be filled, consistent with the original version.
- When not pressing the modifier key, it is completely the original behavior (when ValheimResinFuel is installed, pressing E normally also gives priority to installing resin).
- Multiplayer synchronization via the game's built-in RPC, requiring only client installation.
Install
Method 1 (recommended, use mod manager): Search for ValheimQuickFill installation through r2modman Mod Manager, and the BepInEx dependency will be automatically processed.
Method 2 (manual):
- First install BepInExPack for Valheim (denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim).
- Put the ValheimQuickFill.dll of this mod into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Start the game.
Configuration
BepInEx/config/local.valheim.quickfill.cfg is generated after first startup:
| Configuration items | Default value | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| FillModifier | LeftControl | The key that needs to be pressed to trigger one-click filling. Supports Control / Shift / Alt (either side), or specific key names such as LeftShift; multiple keys can be configured separated by commas. |
| DebugLogging | false | After enabling, patch hit details will be output in the log for troubleshooting. |
Will it affect achievements?
Won't. This mod does not set Game.isModded, does not touch the character's m_usedCheats, does not mark items as cheats, and therefore does not disable achievements. If you also use console cheat commands or other plugins that actively mark mods, it's the effect of those features themselves.
compatibility
- Game version: Valheim from the Unity 6 era (using the new Input System).
- Dependencies: BepInEx 5.x + HarmonyX.
Known issues/notes
- After modifying the buttons or switch plug-ins, you need to restart the game and cannot be hot-swapped.
- Steam's "Verify Game File Integrity" may delete winhttp.dll in the root directory, causing the mod to fail; in this case, just reinstall BepInEx.
- If the key is invalid, send BepInEx/LogOutput.log to the problem area. If the loading is successful, there will be a line ValheimQuickFill loaded.

Build from source
The plugin relies on the managed assemblies of the game and BepInEx, so they need to be compiled as references:
- Install .NET SDK (the build target is netstandard2.1) and Node.js (for packaging scripts).
- Clone this repository to the Valheim installation directory (the default assumption is that... it is the game root directory).
- BepInEx (BepInEx/core/BepInEx.dll, BepInEx/core/0Harmony.dll) must be installed in the game root directory.
- Build and generate the release package: ./build-package.sh your ThunderstoreTeam name
Product: dist/your team name-ValheimQuickFill-version number.zip
When the warehouse is not in the game directory, use attributes to overwrite the path:
dotnet build -c Release -p:ValheimDir="C:\ …
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
