Add a "one-click organization" to the box: open any container (box, cart, etc.) and click the "Organize" button to the left of the "Item Stacking" button in the container interface.

Only items with the same "name + quality + world level + variant + custom data" will be merged.

• Sort by category: The default order is Materials → Consumables → Ammunition → Weapons → Shields → Armor → Tools/Miscellaneous, similar categories are then sorted by name,

Quality is arranged from high to low.

• Remove spaces: After sorting, the items will be arranged compactly row by row starting from the upper left corner, and there will be no gaps.
• Valid for boxes, carts, and other containers that use game Container components.
• When closed / not clicked, it is completely the original behavior and does not affect any original operations.

Usage: Go to the box and press E to open → click the "Organize" button (or press R) → the box will be sorted automatically → press Esc to close.

If you are dragging something in your hand when sorting, you will be prompted to put it down first to avoid misoperation.

Install

Method 1: r2modman Mod Manager (recommended)

• Already on the shelves: Search for ValheimChestSort in the mod manager and install it (the BepInEx dependency will be automatically brought in).
• Local package import: Download SuperVikingDepartment-ValheimChestSort-1.0.0.zip under dist/ of this warehouse, in r2modman

Settings → Import local mod (or Install from file) select the zip.

Method 2: Manual installation (start the game directly)

• First install BepInExPack for Valheim (denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim).
• Place ValheimChestSort.dll into BepInEx/plugins/ in the game root directory.
• Start the game.

Note: When starting the game with r2modman, the profile directory takes effect, not the BepInEx in the game installation root directory.

Configuration

BepInEx/config/SuperVikingDepartment.ValheimChestSort.cfg is generated after first startup:
