Overview
Valheim Universal Upscaler GUI is a full-featured in-game settings integration mod for Valheim that adds native UI controls directly inside Settings ➔ Graphics to configure modern upscaling technologies (AMD FSR 3.1, AMD FSR 4, Intel XeSS, NVIDIA DLSS), quality presets, frame generation, and sharpness on the fly.
No more tweaking.ini files or struggling with external overlays! Everything is seamlessly integrated into Valheim's graphics menu and accessible via an in-game hotkey HUD (F7).

⚡ Quick Start & Installation

DirectX 12 Requirement: Valheim runs in DirectX 11 by default. Modern upscalers (FSR, XeSS, DLSS) require DirectX 12.
In your Steam Library, right-click Valheim ➔ Properties ➔ General ➔ Launch Options and enter:
-force-d3d12
📦 Option 1: Via r2modman Mod Manager (1-Click, Recommended)
No manual file copying required! All upscaler runtimes (OptiScaler, FSR 4, XeSS) are bundled directly inside this package and auto-deployed upon launch:
- In r2modman, search for Valheim_Universal_Upscaler_GUI and click Download (dependencies will be installed automatically).
- Ensure -force-d3d12 is set in your Steam Launch Options for Valheim.
- Click the blue Start Modded button in r2modman.
- That's it! Open Settings ➔ Graphics or press F7 in-game to configure your upscaler.
🚀 Option 2: Manual Installation (Without Mod Manager)
- Download Valheim_Universal_Upscaler_Full_Setup_v1.0.0.zip from GitHub Releases.
- Extract the contents directly into your Valheim game directory (steamapps\common\Valheim).
- Add -force-d3d12 to Valheim's Steam Launch Options.
- Launch Valheim via Steam.

Valheim Universal Upscaler GUI — это полноценный внутриигровой интерфейс для настройки апскейлинга нового поколения в Valheim. Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
