Welcome to the official Valheim SAEFly modpack, curated specifically for SAEF.
This pack focuses on Quality of Life (QoL), building improvements, and performance enhancements to make our Viking adventures seamless.
⚠️ Important Note: Installation Type
All mods included in this pack are Client-Side Only.
- You do not need to install this modpack on a dedicated server.
- You can connect to vanilla servers, unmodded servers, or our private group server while running this pack.
🛠️ Included Mods & What They Do
Core Framework
- BepInEx Pack: The foundation framework required to load and run all Valheim mods.
Inventory & UI Upgrades
- Equipment and Quick Slots: Gives your armor (Head, Chest, Legs, Shoulders, Utility) dedicated inventory slots so they don't take up your main bag space, plus adds up to six hotkeyable quick slots.
- Quick Stack, Store, Sort, Trash, Restock: Adds convenient inventory buttons to quickly dump items into nearby chests, sort containers, or safely trash junk.
- Biome Crafting Tabs: Organizes your crafting station menus into clean tabs grouped by biome, cutting down on menu scrolling.
Building & Farming Quality of Life
- Gizmo: Allows you to rotate building pieces on all three axes (X, Y, and Z) instead of just horizontally, giving you total freedom in your designs.
- Plant Easily: Streamlines farming by allowing you to plant crops in clean rows and grids automatically, and harvest multiple crops at once.
Automation & Fixes
- Automatic Fuel: Automatically pulls wood, coal, and ore from nearby containers to refuel torches, campfires, smelters, and kilns.
- Fires Ghetto Networking: A network optimization patch designed to drastically reduce lag and desync when multiple players are working in the same area. - this is the Networking mod we are already using
- Valheim Community Patch: A compilation of bug fixes and performance optimizations that the vanilla game developers haven't patched yet.
- Cartur's Follow Command: Allows you to command all tamed animals to follow you or stay put.
🚀 How To Use
- Download the pack Mod Manager or r2modman.
- Launch the game through your mod manager by clicking Start Modded.
- All mods will activate automatically. Check your in-game controls menu or mod manager configuration editor to adjust individual keybinds.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
