Valheim Rearm Mod

This is a simple mod that re-equips your left and right items that you had equipped before swimming. No more accidentally throwing punches when you thought you had a weapon equipped during a chase!

This should work with any item that is equipable in your left and right hand.

The goal of this mod was to just provide a QOL update without impacting any meaningful game mechanics, such as being able to fight in water.

Requirements

If you use Vortex or another mod manager, you need nothing else! Although you'll want to make sure you have the latest BepInEx installed via Vortex.

If you are installing this manually, you'll need BepInEx Valheim.

Install

  • Mod Manager (recommended)
  • Click the Mod Manager Download button on the Files tab
  • Manual
  • Download with the Manual Download button on the Files tab and extract the files.
  • Install BepInEx Valheim
  • Put the ValheimRearmMod.dll in your BepInEx plugin folder

Reporting Issues

You can report issues here, but it would also be best (and reach me faster) if you put issues on the GitHub repository (linked in the Source section) as well.

Extra

I'm interested in making more mods. If you have ideas for a mod, feel free to message them to me and I might just make it!

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
