Valheim Blue Archive Mod
BepInEx plugin for Valheim. On death, spare tools stay in your inventory. Everything else still drops under the world's death rules.
This is client-side. The player who dies has to have it loaded. Putting it only on a dedicated server does nothing. Friends install it in Gale (author Svelte, package Valheim_Blue_Archive_Mod). A Gale profile code that includes this package will carry it.
What it keeps
- Hammers, hoes, cultivators, and other ItemType.Tool items
- Pickaxes
- Woodcutting axes
- Fishing rods
- Butcher knives
Equipped gear stays if the world would otherwise drop it. Quest items are left to vanilla. Spare swords and bag loot still die on Hardcore.
Modded tools keep if they register as a vanilla tool, a pickaxe, or a woodcutting axe. Extra leftovers can be named in IncludePrefabs. Adventure Backpacks is a separate inventory and is not patched.
Install with Gale
- Open Gale and select your Valheim profile.
- Search for Valheim_Blue_Archive_Mod (author Svelte).
- Install, then launch from Gale so BepInEx writes com.ayok.valheim.bluearchive.cfg.
Manual install
Copy plugins/Valheim_Blue_Archive_Mod.dll to:
BepInEx/plugins/Valheim_Blue_Archive_Mod/Valheim_Blue_Archive_Mod.dll
Requires BepInEx Pack for Valheim.
Config
Generated on first launch: BepInEx/config/com.ayok.valheim.bluearchive.cfg
Toggles per tool family, plus IncludePrefabs / ExcludePrefabs for leftover custom items.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
