About this mod Author’s original text

Twitcheim

Twitcheim links your Twitch chat directly to Valheim! Allow your viewers to interact with your gameplay in real-time using customizable Twitch chat commands. Viewers can spend points to spawn items, spawn creatures/bosses, trigger buffs/debuffs, or heal you while you stream.

🌟 Key Features

  • Dynamic Command Management: Easily edit, add, or remove chat commands directly in-game using the BepInEx Config Manager. No restarting required!
  • Streamer-Friendly HUD Overlay: An in-game, resizable, and draggable chat HUD overlay shows incoming Twitch messages and executed commands live on screen.
  • Persistent Position & Styling: Save your preferred HUD layout, position, font size, background color, and transparency automatically.
  • Viewer Loyalty Points System: Viewers earn 1 point per second automatically while chatting. Points are used to redeem stream actions.
  • Interactive Command Carousel (!commands): Viewers can type!commands or!help in chat to trigger an animated list of all available commands and their costs in the HUD overlay.
  • Fair Spawning System: Spawn monsters and items at customizable minimum and maximum distances around the player.

⚙️ How to Setup

  • Install BepInEx: Make sure you have BepInEx installed for Valheim.
  • Install Twitcheim: Place Twitcheim.dll into your Valheim/BepInEx/plugins/ folder.
  • Configure Channel:
  • Launch Valheim and press F1 (or open the BepInEx Configuration Manager).
  • Enter your Twitch Channel Name under 00 - Settings.
  • Click Connect.

🛠️ Customizing Commands

Commands are stored in a text file located at Valheim/BepInEx/config/Twitcheim_Commands.txt.

You can modify them in two ways:

  • In-Game (Recommended): Open the BepInEx Configuration Manager (F1) and use the visual manager under 01 - Commands File. Add new commands, adjust costs, set minimum/maximum spawn distances, or change item quantities, then click Save & Reload File.
  • Text File: Edit Twitcheim_Commands.txt manually using the pipe-delimited format:

Command | Cost | MinDist | MaxDist | Quantity!spawn boar | 300 | 20 | 30 | 1

🎨 HUD Customization

Under the 02 - HUD Position section in the config menu, you can fully adjust:

  • Font Size: Change text size to fit your resolution.
  • Background Color & Transparency: Match your stream overlay theme.
  • Drag & Resize: Open any UI/menu in-game to drag the HUD anywhere on screen or drag the bottom-right corner ◢ to resize it. Position is automatically saved!

⚙️ INFO

This mod is work in progress.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
