Features
- Day · Time – "Day 23 · 14:32" with a sun or moon icon (24-hour or 12-hour clock).
- Weather – Clear, Cloudy, Mist, Rain, Thunderstorm, Snow, Blizzard, Ash rain, Boss and Indoors, each with its own icon.
- Strip compass – a heading strip that slides as you turn (N in red, numbers every 15°), with the exact heading (e.g. 127° SE) below.
- Compass markers – pick map pins (tombstones, boss locations, bed, your own pins) on a world map or in a list and see them on the compass with their distance. Pins outside the view wait at the edge of the strip. Tombstones are on by default.
- In-game settings window – press F9 or choose ESC menu > HUD Settings. Tabs: Markers, HUD, Compass, General; every change shows on the HUD right away.
- Uses the game's own HUD font (Averia Serif plus the game's fallback fonts), so every language looks like the rest of Valheim's UI.
- Press F7 to show / hide. Hides automatically with Ctrl+F3 and while the map, inventory or menu is open.
- Choose the screen position, offset and size. English & Korean (follows your game language).
- Client-side only: install it just for yourself, works in multiplayer.
Settings window
Open it with F9 or ESC menu > HUD Settings.
- Markers – your map pins grouped by type, next to a world map. Click a pin on the map or in the list to show / hide it on the compass; drag to pan, wheel to zoom.
- HUD – what to show, position (6 anchors), offset and size.
- Compass – compass / heading on-off, width, visible degrees, max markers and distance.
- General – language, game font, shortcuts and Reset to defaults.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
