Snapheim
Precision snapping for Valheim building without Jötunn.
Snapheim expands Valheim's building placement with additional center, half, corner, seam, and front/back depth snap positions while keeping normal placement intact when Snapheim is off.
Features
- Three snap families
- Centers — center, edge centers, and corners
- Halfs — halfway points between center and each edge/corner
- Seams — flush edge-to-edge, corner-to-corner, and halfway seam snaps
- 3D depth snapping
- Mid
- Front
- Back
- Visual snap-point preview
- Shows available snap targets on the piece you are aiming at
- Highlights the currently selected snap
- Per-piece memory
- Remembers the last snap mode used for each build-piece type
- Remembers the last depth layer used for each build-piece type
- Configurable hotkeys
- Uses standard BepInEx KeyboardShortcut settings
- Compatible with BepInEx ConfigurationManager
- Master enable/disable option
- No Jötunn dependency
Default Controls
| Key | Action |
| --- | --- |
| P | OFF → Centers → Halfs → Seams → OFF |
| E | Next snap in the current family |
| Q | Previous snap in the current family |
| O | Mid → Front → Back → Mid |
All Snapheim hotkeys can be changed through BepInEx ConfigurationManager.
When Snapheim is active, its configured next/previous snap keys are consumed by Snapheim so Valheim's vanilla manual snap cycling does not also trigger. When Snapheim is off or disabled, vanilla controls are left alone.

Depth Layers
Every snap can be used at a depth layer:
- M — Mid
- F — Front
- B — Back
For seam modes, Front/Back use flush face-to-face placement. This is useful for objects such as signs placed against chests or furniture.
ConfigurationManager
Snapheim uses normal BepInEx config entries. If you have a compatible BepInEx ConfigurationManager installed, Snapheim will appear automatically with:
- Enabled
- Cycle Family / Toggle
- Next Snap

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
