SleepAnywhere
Toggle sleep restrictions individually: nearby enemies, no roof/exposure, and no nearby fire.
About this mod Author’s original text
Sleep Anywhere
Toggle individual sleep restrictions in Valheim. By default this lets you sleep even with enemies nearby, but leaves the roof and fire checks on — edit the config to change that.
Features
- Independently toggle each sleep restriction:
- IgnoreEnemiesNearby — sleep even if enemies are sensed nearby
- IgnoreNoRoof — sleep without a roof / while exposed to weather
- IgnoreCold — sleep without a nearby fire/heat source
Configuration
After first launch, edit BepInEx/config/icebr.sleepanywhere.cfg:
[Sleep Restrictions]
If true, allows sleeping even if enemies are nearby.
IgnoreEnemiesNearby = true
If true, allows sleeping without a roof / while exposed.
IgnoreNoRoof = false
If true, allows sleeping without a nearby fire.
IgnoreCold = false
Set any value to true to disable that restriction, or false to keep vanilla behavior for that check.
Installation
- Install BepInExPack_Valheim
- Drop SleepAnywhere.dll into BepInEx/plugins/SleepAnywhere/
- Launch the game once to generate the config file, then adjust settings as desired
Compatibility
Single-player and client-side use is straightforward. For multiplayer, all connecting clients should run the same mod/config to avoid desyncs in expected behavior — check with your server before assuming this works seamlessly for others.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
