SkillFloors
Adds a slowly levelable minimum skill floor to Valheim skills.
About this mod Author’s original text
SkillFloors
SkillFloors is a Valheim Mod which creates a minimum skill level for each skill (the skill's "floor"). When you lose skill levels due to death, skill levels won't drop below their skill floors.
Skill floors start at level 0 and increase up at 15% the normal skill's rate. The rate is configurable.
Installation
Gale or r2Modman
I recommend using Gale. Starting at version 1.2.3, it will only be hosted on Hexium (requires Gale). r2modman still works for 1.2.2 and earlier.
Manual
If you're familiar with manually installing mods, go for it! Download the zip, and just put the SkillFloors.dll in BepInEx/plugins/SkillFloors.
Features
- Slowly levels up a skill "floor" level for each skill.
- prevents skill levels from dropping below the floor on death
- skill floors are shown in the skill panel as a light blue number next to each skill name and small progress bar (light blue) under the skill's bar (red)
- configurable progress rate (available in BepInEx Configuration Manager)
- ServerSync for the progress rate.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
