Sea Shanty 2 Sailing Mod
Plays the iconic Sea Shanty 2 from RuneScape when you dance on a boat in Valheim!
Installation
Install with r2modman or manually place in BepInEx/plugins/
Usage
- Get on any boat
- Use the dance emote
- Enjoy the tunes!
Everyone nearby hears it, not just the dancer. Dancing is the only emote that
starts it - sitting, waving and the rest are left alone. A lucky few may find
another emote or two has a sound of its own.
Level-up sound
Gaining a level in any skill plays a short jingle. Only you hear it: it is not a
world sound, so nobody else on the server has to share your woodcutting. Turn it
off in the settings below if it wears thin.
Configuration
Settings > Audio has both of these, directly under Music:
- Shanty4Heim Sound - volume slider. It takes effect as you drag it, and the
game's master volume applies on top of it.
- Shanty4Heim Level-up Sound - checkbox, on by default. The slider above sets
how loud the jingle is.
The same settings live in BepInEx/config/com.jonny.seashanty4heim.cfg if you
would rather edit them there.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
