Seatapult
A half-size, rideable catapult: sit in the seat, aim and fire from its ammo-store chest, and eject yourself on demand.
About this mod Author’s original text
Seatapult
A half-size, rideable catapult. You don't load a ballista and watch it aim — you climb into the operator's seat, aim the machine yourself, fire items from its ammo-store chest, and (optionally) eject yourself across the map.
A Valheim BepInEx 5 plugin built on Jotunn.
Features
- Seatapult build piece (Hammer > Misc), 20x Wood / 15x Stone / 5x Iron, cloned from the vanilla Ashlands Catapult at half size.
- Operator's seat with full aiming: arm angle, aim yaw, and launch power.
- Ammo store: a chest on the machine — anything placed inside can be fired (or filter it with AllowedItems).
- Ejector seat: launch yourself along the aim direction, with no fall damage and a synthesized cartoon scream by default.
- Deploy legs, adjustable power, in-game HUD panel while seated.
Requirements
- BepInEx 5 (denikson-BepInExPack_Valheim)
- Jotunn 2.30.x (ValheimModding-Jotunn)
Installation
- Install through your mod manager (recommended).
- Manual: drop Seatapult.dll into BepInEx\plugins\.
How to use
- Restart the game after installing (the build piece is registered at startup).
- Build the Seatapult from the Hammer under Misc and place it on solid ground.
- Open the ammo-store chest (on the machine) and load it with items to fire.
- Hover the seat and press E to sit. A HUD panel shows angle / aim / power / cooldown.
- While seated:
| Key | Action |
|-----|--------|
| Shift+F | Fire — launches the next allowed item from the store |
| Shift+Up / Shift+Down | Increase / decrease power |
| W/S or Up/Down | Raise / lower the arm angle |
| A/D or Left/Right | Swing aim left / right |
| V | Deploy / retract the legs |
| T | Eject yourself along the aim direction |
| E | Stand up |

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
