Sea Route
Chart voyages across the Great Ocean and let an automated helmsman navigate your longships and karves. Sea Route provides a full in-game Norse navigational dashboard, real-time map pin projection, 12 ordered waypoint slots per route, 1-click waypoint jumping, interactive cartography picking, and hydrodynamic anti-capsize stabilization.
A Valheim BepInEx 5 plugin.
What's New in v1.1.0
- Norse Obsidian & Antique Gold Dashboard: Press Alt+T (or interact with a placed Chart Table) to open a clean, draggable navigational side dialog.
- Multi-Route Library: Save, name, cycle, and manage multiple distinct trade routes and expedition channels.
- 12 Waypoint Slots per Route: Supports Start Pin, Pin 1 through Pin 10, and End Pin.
- Dynamic Cartography Projection: Whichever route is active automatically displays its waypoints as custom ship pins on your world map (M) and minimap in real time.
- Interactive Map Picking: Click Pick Map or any slot's Map button, then simply click anywhere on the cartography map to drop coordinates directly into that waypoint slot.
- 1-Click Destination Jump: Click any pin's name, coordinates, or badge in the dashboard to immediately steer the ship towards that stop as its next destination.
- Seated Start / Stop Hotkey (Alt+G): Engage or halt autopilot with a single keystroke while seated on boat benches or clinging to the mast without standing up or grabbing the mouse.
- Hydrodynamic Anti-Capsize System: Preserves full ocean roll damping and applies active righting stabilization so smaller vessels (like the Karve) will never flip upside-down in swells and storms.
- Seated Ejection Protection: Clicking inside the menu or placing map pins will never trigger attack swings or unseat seated vikings.
Features
- In-Game Navigational Dashboard (Alt+T): Live speedometer, gear indicators, active target distance readout, route management, and waypoint controls.
- Autopilot Navigation: Drives the ship's rudder and forward momentum between ordered waypoints (Start ➔ 1-10 ➔ End), slowing down to an arrival stop at your final harbor.
- Speed Gears: Three distinct static gears (Cruise, Standard, and Full) toggled with Alt+J or 1-click dashboard buttons.
- Shallow-Water Safety Probe: Automatically scans the seabed ahead of your keel and holds position if reefs or shorelines threaten grounding.
- Chart Table: Placeable Norse cartography station (Hammer > Misc, unlock via Alt+B) for dockside voyage planning.
- Web Navigation Deck: Optional live route manager served on localhost (

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
