Scrubbed Title Screen
Customize Valheim's title screen and quickly join your favorite server. Client-side only.
- Add your own PNG with adjustable position and size.
- Add a second PNG that appears when the mouse hovers over your image, for your own glow or rollover artwork.
- Click your image to join the configured server with your last chosen character and automatic password entry.
- Switch servers from a small white server-name button at the bottom of the pause menu. It does not show if you are already on that server.
Installation
This is a client side mod. It is not required on server.
Custom image
Place your PNG at:
BepInEx/config/Scrubbed_Title_Screen/TitleImage.png
Look in the config file. Under [Custom title image], set Enabled = true. Adjust the anchor, offsets and scale, or change PNG file to use another image.
Hover image
For an optional rollover effect, place a second image beside the normal PNG:
BepInEx/config/Scrubbed_Title_Screen/TitleImage.png
BepInEx/config/Scrubbed_Title_Screen/TitleImage_Hover.png
The hover image appears while the mouse is over the title image. Moving away restores the normal image. No extra setting is needed, and the effect also works without a configured server shortcut.
Restart the game after adding or changing image files.
Server shortcuts
[Server]
Name = Your Server
Address = your-server-address:2456
Password = your-password
Use your server's name, IP or hostname, port and password. Leave Password blank to enter it when joining. Leave Address blank to disable both shortcuts.
Use the normal Play menu when you want to choose a different character.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
