Additional MOD for Japanese food.

Japanese Food MOD。

[English]

This is an add-on mod featuring Japanese food.

Fried chicken?

No, no. Karaage is better!

I’m probably not the only Japanese person who has thought that, right?

I didn’t give it some fancy English-localized name like “Japanese Fried Chicken,” either.

It’s simply “karaage.” (lol)

As I kept thinking, “I want to add this, and that would be nice too!” the number of added items surpassed 100 in version 1.0.5.

I’ve also added many foods that fit the end-of-year and New Year season, such as zenzai, toshikoshi soba, ozoni, and osechi-style foods.

So please feel free to decorate your base with them! (lol)

After extracting the ZIP file, place the folder into BepInEx/plugins.

[Specifications]

・“Mame” (beans) can be dropped by Greylings at a moderate chance.

・“Okome” (rice) is dropped by Trolls with a 100% chance.

・“Tsukemonoishi” (pickling stone) is dropped by Charred Twitchers with a 50% chance.

・“Ika” (squid) is dropped by Seals with a 30% chance.

・Several ingredients can be made from beans, and rice can be turned into cooked rice. There are also further recipes branching from them.

・Once you make pickles, you can start making the Teishoku (set meal) series.

・The food items are balanced around vanilla food while being slightly stronger than vanilla.

・The item “Oshoyu no Bin” (soy sauce bottle) can be crafted at the workbench using soy sauce. With it, all dishes from this Japanese Food mod can be placed and displayed just like vanilla serving trays. Feast dishes can also be eaten.

・I plan to continue updating the mod at my own pace.

・Some foods that did not originate in Japan but have become established parts of Japanese food culture may also be added.

・Localization is available in Japanese and English only.

・For the English localization, item names are intentionally written in romanized Japanese so that the original Japanese names can be understood. A general description is provided in the description field.

・“Sushi Assortment,” “Oden,” “Anko Nabe,” “Sukiyaki,” and “Kiritanpo Nabe” are Feast dishes. They can be placed using the Oshoyu no Bin and provide 10 servings.

[Changelog]

Ver1.0.6

・Fixed an issue where the recipe ingredients for “Nizakana” and “Kamaboko” were not displayed correctly.

Ver1.0.5

・Fixed an issue where Feast dishes could not be removed after placement due to changes to Feast dishes in Valheim 1.0.

・Added more food items and ingredient drop items.

・The total number of added food items and other items now exceeds 100.

Ver. 1.0.4

・Added the "Soy Sauce Bottle," an item for decorating dishes. This reduces dependencies and allows Feast dishes to be placed.

Ver. 1.0.3

・Reduced the size of the asset bundle.

・Added a large number of additional food items. (There are too many to list here, so please check the recipe list for details.)

Ver. 1.0.2

・Fixed a bug caused by changes to the merchant system in Valheim 1.0.14.

Ver. 1.0.1

・Added around 20 food items designed for late-game biomes, including the Deep North.

・Due to the addition of potatoes (Potatoes) in vanilla, "Nikujaga" has been changed to use Deep North materials and its stat buffs have been adjusted. If you already have the item, its stats may suddenly become much stronger, but this is not a bug; it is an intentional specification change.

・Adjusted the scale of several food items.

・Adjusted the stat buffs of several items, including beans and rice, to make them more useful during the early game.

Ver. 1.0.0

・Initial release

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
