About this mod Author’s original text

Runic Sentinel Server 1.3.1

Manage Sentinel admission, mod policies, administrators and server commands on a dedicated host.

Setup

  • Install SentinelServer on the dedicated server and full Sentinel on administrator clients. Ordinary players use SentinelClient.
  • Let the mod manager install the required dependencies, including Runic Safety.
  • Start with Remote Admission → Policy = Optional.
  • Add your account ID to adminlist.txt, connect as an administrator and press F3.
  • Choose Set Up Sentinel, configure the mod rules and select Apply & Sign Policy.
  • Set admission to Required when your player profiles are ready, then restart the server.

Keep the server's Sentinel configuration and private key folder when updating. Use only one host package: full Sentinel or SentinelServer. Listen hosts and hosts using the new building/terrain controls use full Sentinel.

Administration

Use the administrator client's F3 dashboard for mod policies, People, Commands, player reports and the catalog. With World Engine installed on the host, configure player capacity and restart to apply it.

Server Devcommands features are included. Use SentinelServer in place of the separate Server Devcommands plugin.

Server commands

  • runic_sentinel status: show policy and admission status.
  • runic_sentinel report: save a support report.
  • runic_sentinel networks: report loaded portal and production networks.

Reports are stored under BepInEx/config/RunicSentinel. Use dev_config for command settings and permissions for command access.

Languages

The mod follows Valheim's selected language, with English fallback. Keep the included Translations folder beside the mod DLL when installing manually.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
