Runic Sentinel 1.6.1
Manage your Valheim server from the F3 dashboard: mod policies, administrators, players, commands and world settings.
Setup
- Install full RunicSentinel on the host and administrator clients. Ordinary players use RunicSentinelClient.
- Let your mod manager install the required dependencies, including Runic Safety.
- Set Remote Admission → Policy = Optional while setting up.
- Add your account ID to the host's adminlist.txt, join and press F3. Steam entries use V_.
- Choose Set Up Sentinel, configure your mod policy, then Apply & Sign Policy.
- Set admission to Required when your player profiles are ready, then restart the host.
Use full Sentinel or SentinelServer in each host profile, not both. Keep existing Sentinel configuration and BepInEx/config/RunicSentinel/server-private when updating. Server Devcommands features are included; use Sentinel in place of the separate Server Devcommands plugin.
Dashboard
- Mod Policy: choose Required, Allowed, Greylisted or Blocked mods.
- People: manage administrators, bans, kicks and player reports.
- Commands: enter commands, browse arguments, select catalog items and read results. Run with Enter or Run; use Up/Down for recent commands.
- Players: select an online character for travel, healing, skills and status controls.
- World: configure building support, terrain limits and, with World Engine installed, player capacity.
Drag the lower-right corner to resize the dashboard, or use Fit screen.
Building and terrain
Open F3 → World → Building and terrain, enable custom limits, set the values and select Save building limits for next restart. Restart the host and rejoin to apply them.
Vertical support ranges from 1–10; raising and digging range from 1–64 metres relative to the original ground. Keep the chosen limits when continuing a world built around them. Players use SentinelClient to receive the host settings.
Character actions
The selected player uses full Sentinel or SentinelClient. For cheat actions, that player first enters confirmcheats in their own F5 console. Choose On or Off for character modes. Enter effect durations in seconds; 3600 is one hour, 0 is indefinite, and blank uses the effect default.
Commands and reports
- runic_sentinel status: current policy and admission status.
- runic_sentinel report: create a support report.
- runic_sentinel networks: report loaded portal and production networks.
- alias rest addstatus Rested 3600: create a one-hour Rested shortcut.
- bind F7 addstatus Rested 3600: bind that action to F7.
Use dev_config for integrated command settings and permissions for server command permissions. Reports are saved beneath BepInEx/config/RunicSentinel.
Languages
The mod follows Valheim's selected language, with English fallback. Keep the included Translations folder beside the mod DLL when installing manually.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
