Runic Portals 1.2.11
Build named travel networks and choose your destination without continually retagging paired portals.
Portal choices
- Standard Pair: ordinary Valheim tag pairing.
- Public: destinations available to players with access.
- Private: travel for the portal's owner.
- Group: travel for members of the selected group.
Configure a portal to join a Runic network. Choose whether it accepts arrivals, departures or both. Portals you leave as Standard Pair keep their usual behavior.
Traveling
Walk into a Runic endpoint to open its destination picker. Choose an accessible destination and confirm travel. Standard Pair destinations appear as one-way routes. Escape cancels.
Open the large map and press P to toggle the portal directory. Normal teleportable-item and ward rules apply.
Groups
Use /group invite to invite someone. They can choose Accept or Decline in the popup, or use /group accept and /group decline in chat. Escape declines a displayed invitation.
Installation
Install matching versions on the host and participating clients. Requires BepInExPack Valheim. Other Runic mods are optional. Keep BepInEx/config/RunicPermissions/groups when moving or updating a server that uses groups.
Languages
The mod follows Valheim's selected language, with English fallback. Keep the included Translations folder beside the mod DLL when installing manually.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
