Runic Awareness 1.0.5
See useful food, effect, comfort and nearby-object information while you play.
Features
- Food names and remaining durations.
- Active status effects and Rested context.
- Comfort, shelter and furniture information.
- Context for the plant, tameable, production station or building piece you are examining.
- Individually configurable panels, position, scale and refresh interval.
The overlay appears near the left middle of the screen by default. It hides while inventory, maps, building selection, chat and other game menus are open, then returns when you close them.
Configuration
Use Panels to choose the information you want. Use Display to change the anchor, scale, timers and refresh interval. A controller readability multiplier can enlarge the text. No extra keybinding is needed.
Installation
Install on each client that wants the overlay. Requires BepInExPack Valheim. No dedicated-server installation or other Runic mod is required.
Languages
The mod follows Valheim's selected language, with English fallback. Keep the included Translations folder beside the mod DLL when installing manually.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
