What This Modpack Does

  • 8 new randomized dungeons.
  • 8 new biomes.
  • Ocean Content with Deep Sea Harpoon fishing.
  • Introduces 11 classes with different play-styles
  • Expands the game with custom dungeons, enemies, bosses, and raids
  • Dark, somber lore threads through the world, this is not a lighthearted overhaul (all lore is purely fictional)
  • Gear progression is tiered: defeat a biome boss, grab their unique drop, and use it with your previous gear tier to upgrade
  • Magic is earned through the hunt: kill the dead and pixies for Spirit Essence and Magic Crystals, then take down a biome's Pixie Queen to unlock the next stage
  • This pack is also designed for players who want to individually progress, raids from higher tier biomes will never reach lower tier biomes.
  • Spawns from boss kills are also disabled, so you won't get someone's draugrs if you haven't beat Bonemass.
  • Dungeons automatically reset every 8 hours, ores and other locations and important resources also reset up to 128 hours.
  • Update 3.40.0 requires a new mod-profile.
  • Update 3.50.0 has a nice overhaul, biomes were fixed, enchanting was added, group quest objectives, demigods now have a new UI, and much more!

Keybinds & QOL

  • K to choose a class and review abilities.
  • L for Quest panel.
  • P for teleport to bed and 5 min cd to return to where you came from.
  • B to quick stack in all chests with similar loot.
  • N to restock your loot loadout.
  • I to open group menu for invites.
  • O for social menu.
  • Craft from containers is unlocked with Dverger Automater via BlackForest.

Quests

  • The quest system can be opened by pressing the letter L like in World of Warcraft.
  • Each quest live tracks your progress and can be checked by pressing L
  • There's 88 quests designed around the MMO experience.

Systems

Enchanting

  • To see full mod details visit the mod page: ForgeOfEnchantment
  • First socket chance: 85%
  • Second socket chance: 75%
  • Third socket chance: 65%
  • If socket chance fails, it will destroy the item.

The forge: choose a trophy, see which effects it can roll and how your hunt groups change.

Every socket and its effect right in the item's tooltip.

Socketed gear and rare trophies are marked in the inventory by their rarity.

Merging moves all trophies into a new item.

Magic System

  • You can start using magic as early as Meadows
  • Magic progression is earned through the hunt, not handed to you:
  • Hunt the dead at night. They release souls on death, and both the corpse and the soul can drop Spirit Essence, the core resource that fuels magic progression
  • Regular pixies drop Magic Crystals, also required for progression
  • Each biome has a Pixie Queen that must be defeated to advance magic progression in that biome. Pixie Queens are fully random in location and spawn from magical runestones that appear roughly every 30 minutes (real time). Only 36 of each runestone type exist in the world at once, so they're a limited, contested resource
  • Defeating a Pixie Queen grants her Core, required for the main magic progression line
  • Food (especially farming) plays a big role in sustaining Eitr
  • All magic weapons have an AOE secondary attack

Melee & Ranged Progression (Assassin, Archer, Warrior)

  • All combat styles start out simple, you won't be swinging anything fancy right away
  • Defeating Eikthyr unlocks the first real stage of gear
  • From there, progression is gated by biome:
  • You'll need a unique boss-drop item from that biome's boss
  • You'll also need the previous tier of the weapon or armor you're upgrading
  • Assassins, Archers, and Warriors will need to seek out custom dungeons, slay powerful corrupted bosses, and farm unique biome-specific metals to keep climbing
  • This keeps melee and ranged progression in step with the world's difficulty curve, so you can't easily outscale the conten

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
