About this mod Author’s original text
Reveal Achievements
No more mystery marks. See what you're working towards — and earn it, mods or not.
Reveal Achievements removes the??? hiding from achievement details, showing real item names and progress. It also keeps achievements fully functional even when playing with mods or console commands.
Features
Reveal
- No more??? — all achievement conditions show their real names instead of being hidden
- Real progress — see actual numbers (e.g. "3 / 12") instead of "??? /???"
- Secret achievements revealed — secret achievement details are fully visible
- Color coded — completed items in green, remaining items in white
Keep Achievements
- Achievements with mods — achievements stay enabled regardless of installed mods
- No cheat flags — console commands and spawned items won't flag your profile
- Clean inventory — cheated item flags are automatically cleared
- Continuous protection — cheat flags are neutralized every 2 seconds
Installation
- Install BepInEx for Valheim
- Place RevealAchievements.dll into BepInEx/plugins/
- Remove KeepAchievements.dll if you had it installed (this mod replaces it)
- Launch the game
Requirements
- BepInEx 5.x
- No other mods required
- Remove KeepAchievements if previously installed — this mod includes all its functionality
How It Works
The plugin patches AchievementsGui.CreateStatRow to always display real item names and progress instead of "???". Secret achievements are temporarily unmasked when viewing details. For achievement protection, it patches all cheat-check methods (CanGetAchievements, IsCheatedAtAll, IsWorldCheated, AnyCheatedItem, etc.) and periodically clears cheat flags from the player profile and inventory items.
Compatibility
This is a client-side mod. It does not modify world data or interfere with vanilla multiplayer. Other players without the mod will have normal achievement behavior.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
