RandomYggdrasil
Randomises the Yggdrasil branch rotation per world so the sky no longer gives away direction, synced from the server to every client.
About this mod Author’s original text
Random Yggdrasil
On a no-map server the Yggdrasil branch across the sky is a free compass: it
always points the same way. This mod gives each world its own random rotation
for the branch, so the sky stops telling you which way is north.
- The rotation is chosen once per world and stored in the config, keyed by
world, so it never changes for an existing world.
- With LockConfiguration on, the server owns each world's rotation and every
connected client uses the server's value through Mushroom Sync. All players
see the same sky.
- Purely visual. Nothing about world generation or navigation changes.
Configuration
BepInEx/config/RandomYggdrasil.cfg on a client, or config/bepinex/ on a
dedicated server. A world's rotation can be set by hand if you want a specific
one.
Requirements
Requires Mushroom Sync, installed on the server and every client.
Source and issues:
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
