About this mod Machine translation

PrefabLocalizer / Universal localization module

Change log

1.6.2: Fixed the problem that "filter condition.txt" does not take effect.

1.6.1: Fixed the error caused by repeated collection of collection text.

1.6.0: Supports deepseek access translation. The format requirements of the target file are consistent with the file naming format for application translation, starting with a prefix (Chinese information_items, etc.), but the speed is very slow. Supports in-game application translation. Now there is a configuration file, customize the trigger button, whether the application translation is turned on, and fill in the API.

Introduction

This is a universal localization framework designed specifically for Valhalla mods. The main function of this module is to provide a convenient localized translation environment for various module contents in the game. It allows translators to easily localize content added by other mods.

This module supports localization of the following module content:

  • Items: names and descriptions of weapons, armor, materials, food, etc. (things that can be placed in a backpack)
  • Effect: Buff and Debuff status names and descriptions (various statuses displayed in the upper right corner of the UI)
  • Creatures: names of monsters and bosses
  • Construction: The names and descriptions of things in the right-click interface of the tool hammer, such as workbench, portal, building materials, etc.

Prerequisites

  • Game base: "Valheim"
  • BepInEx: Valheim modding framework. Must be installed

*Jotunn: Library. Must be installed

IMPORTANT NOTE:

You can use the new version to export and make a Chinese file, and then load it with the old version, so you don’t need to use the Jotunn prefix.

Installation steps

  • Download the latest version of this module (.dll file)
  • Manual installation:
  • Copy the downloaded file to the BepInEx/plugins folder in the root directory of your Valheim game
  • Make sure the file path is similar to...\Valheim\BepInEx\plugins\PrefabLocalizer.dll

Instructions for use

  • First startup: Press F12 after running the game for the first time. The module will generate 1 filter condition.txt file and 1 filter condition_Mod name.txt in the Valheim\BepInEx\config\mod Chinese folder, and also export the text of the default conditions (r2 is also in the game body)
  • Set filter conditions: According to the prefabricated name of the module content you want to localize, fill in some fields of the prefabricated name in filter conditions.txt, and fill in the mod name in filter conditions_Mod name.txt. If the filter is empty, all text will be exported.
  • Export text: Start the game and load a world. Press F12 in the game and the mod will export the text to a new localization file based on your filter criteria
  • Perform localization: Open the localization.txt file generated in step 3. Modify the content behind the name and description for translation. Note: Do not modify other information, symbols or file structure
  • Take effect: After localization is completed, restart the game to take effect.

Important tips

Now you can read the filter conditions at any time and export the text.

Simple process

  • Install this module
  • When you start the game for the first time, the mod Chinese folder will be automatically created. Press F12 to automatically create the filter file.
  • Enter the folder, open the filter file and fill in the conditions
  • Restart the game
  • Press F12 in the game to export text
  • In the folder, localize the exported text content
  • After localization is completed, restart the game to take effect.

File structure (Valheim\BepInEx\config\mod Chinese version)

  • Filter condition_.txt

Items: Items filter

Effects: Effects filter

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.

Dependencies

Install these first, or the mod will not work:
