About this mod Author’s original text
Player Traders
Build your own trading post in Valheim.
Place a trader with your hammer, stock it with goods and set your prices. Other players can buy from your trader or sell you the materials you need.
What you can do
- Sell items at prices you choose.
- Create buy orders with a quantity limit or keep buying indefinitely.
- Store goods in two inventories: 50 slots for sale stock and 50 for purchased items.
- Deposit and collect coins through the trader's till.
- Change your trader's name, appearance and equipment.
- Notice new offers through an exclamation mark above the trader.
Only the owner character can manage a trader. Visitors see the shop.
Getting started
Pick up coins to discover the recipe, then build a trader for 50 coins. Add goods and save your prices. To buy materials from visitors, put coins in the till and create a buy order.
Installation
Install with your mod manager. For manual installation, copy PlayerTraders from the archive's plugins folder into BepInEx/plugins.
Requires BepInEx for Valheim and Jötunn. Install the same mod version on every player’s PC and on the dedicated server, if you use one. In hosted co-op, install it on the host and each friend's PC.
Settings
The host can change the construction cost in BepInEx/config/PlayerTraders.config. Restart the host/server after changing it. Trader data stays with the world host/server.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
