Updated for Valheim 1.0
Version 3.5.1, built and Harmony-checked against Valheim 1.0.17.
Maintainer: Paul Otto
Coming from AzuAutoStore? Your settings carry over. On first run OttoStash looks
for Azumatt.AzuAutoStore.cfg and Azumatt.AzuAutoStore.yml and copies them into its
own potto007.OttoStash.cfg and potto007.OttoStash.yml. It never touches an
OttoStash file that already exists.
Two names changed with the rename:
- The console command is now ottostashsearch, not azuautostoresearch.
- The config files are now potto007.OttoStash.cfg and potto007.OttoStash.yml.
Description
This mod pulls nearby items from the ground into containers. Optionally, use a hotkey to store items in your inventory
into containers. WardIsLove compatible, HotBar items can be ignored (on by default), Quickslots can be
ignored (if turned on in the configuration!).
- Need to know
ServerSync checks the version. A client running a different OttoStash version cannot join the server. A client without OttoStash can still join.
This mod uses ServerSync, if installed on the server and all clients, it will sync all configs to client
This mod uses a file watcher. If the configuration file is not changed with BepInEx Configuration manager, but changed in the file directly on the server, upon file save, it will sync the changes to all clients.
TL;DR
- Drop this mod in, start a world.
- Nearby dropped items are pulled into containers according to the YAML rules.
- Press. to dump your inventory into nearby containers (respecting favorites and YAML rules).
- Middle-click an item to store just that one.
- Hold Y and click an item (or use ottostashsearch) to find where you put something.
- Edit potto007.OttoStash.yml to define per-container ranges and allowed/excluded items.
- All configuration files are found in the BepInEx/config folder. Examples are found in the yml file.
Compatibility
- WardIsLove – fully compatible; wards can protect containers as usual.
- Quick Stack / sorting mods (e.g. QuickStackStore) – UI integration is ordered to avoid grabbing each other’s
elements and double buttons.
- Backpack mods (Smoothbrain’s Backpacks, AdventureBackpack, etc.) – supports storing into backpacks and has
options to globally disable storing to any backpack containers.
- ItemDrawers – supports both KG’s fork and the original Makail version for storing and searching.
Features
- Automatically store dropped resources into nearby containers within a configurable range
- Restrict specific items from being stored into containers by defining rules in the configuration file in
the BepInEx/config folder called potto007.OttoStash.yml
- Toggle the storing of items via a keyboard shortcut for a configurable amount of seconds
- Store a single hovered item into nearby containers with a dedicated hotkey (Default: Mouse2 / Middle Click)
- Find where your items ended up: hold the Search key (Default: Y) and click an item, or use the ottostashsearch
command to ping the nearest container holding it and see how many exist. You can use /ottostashsearch in the chat
window. Auto complete for the command is possible so you can type /azuauto and press tab to complete if you don't
want to type it all out:D
- Favoriting from GoldenRevolver By holding the Favoriting Key (default: Alt) or by using a new button, you can left
click on an item to favorite it,
or
right click to favorite the slot it is in. This prevents the quick storing from player inventory from having the mod
affect that item. No accidental
storing something you didn't want. The favoriting state is shown with a custom colored border around the slot. If
GoldenRevolver's mod is present, it will read his favoriting file and use that instead.
- Armor stand panel. Press Use on an armor stand and your inventory opens with the
stand's slots beside it, laid out as a figure: head on top, hands either side of the
chest, cape, legs and utility item along the bottom. Drag gear onto a slot or back
into
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
