Having mods installed no longer stops you earning achievements.

About this mod Author’s original text

MySix ModsNotCheating

Valheim switches achievements off for anyone with a mod installed, as if they had cheated. With this installed it does not: achievements unlock as they would in the unmodded game. Everything else the game counts as cheating still counts - using dev commands, carrying spawned items, or playing a world with cheat modifiers - so this only stops mods themselves from being held against you. Nothing on your character is changed: being modded is never saved to a character, so once this is installed your achievements simply work again. It is on as soon as it is installed. If you would rather not have it, uninstall it, or set ModsNotCheating.Enabled to false.

Part of the MySix mod suite. Every mod in the suite needs MySix Core, which adds the

in-game mysix command for reading and changing settings. On a server, settings are owned by

the server: an admin changes a value once and every connected player picks it up.

Installing

Install with a mod manager - the Mod Manager, Gale and r2modman all work - or unzip

the DLL into BepInEx/plugins yourself. Everyone playing together should run the same versions.

Settings

Press F5 in game and type mysix to list every setting, or edit

BepInEx/config/com.mysix.*.cfg.

Note on achievements

Valheim switches achievements off for anyone with a mod installed. MySix Mods Not Cheating,

part of the MySix bundle, keeps them working.

Version 1.0.0. The Changelog tab lists what changed in each release.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
