About this mod Author’s original text
Moonforged Lights and Decor
A standalone Moonforged collection of rugs, furniture, lamps, porcelain sets, benches, cannons, and decorative build pieces.
Includes Valheim 1.0 build-menu sorting, configurable Moonforged categories, multiplayer-synchronized lamp colors, persistent lamp states, and support for custom lamp colors.
Windows version included.
If you need a Vulkan or Mac compatible version, please contact me on Discord.
I keep those builds separate because including all platform versions in the main package would make the download unnecessarily large, while only a small number of users need them.
Moonforged Lights and Decor was split from the original Moonforged Build Pieces mod, which has now been separated into three standalone mods:
- Moonforged Build Pieces – Includes new carved and runed building pieces, along with stained-glass pieces.
- Moonforged Lights and Decor – Includes the rugs, furniture, lamps, and other decorations from the original Moonforged Build Pieces mod.
- Moonforged Banner Collection – Includes all banners from the original mod, plus new Deep North biome and boss banners.

💡 Lamp Features
Moonforged lamps include multiplayer-synchronized color switching and persistent light settings.
Available Lamp Colors
Interact with a lamp using E to cycle through the available light settings.
The lamps include several preset colors as well as a configurable custom color.
Available options include:
- Yellow
- Green
- Blue
- Dvergr Pink
- Custom Color
- Off
🎨 Custom Lamp Color
Players can define their own custom lamp color in the Moonforged Lights and Decor configuration file.
The custom color uses standard HTML HEX color format:
RRGGBB
Example:
CustomLampColor = #FF7A00
Some example colors:
- #FF0000 – Red
- #00FF00 – Green
- #0000FF – Blue
- #00FFFF – Cyan
- #FF7A00 – Orange
- #9B30FF – Purple
- #FFFFFF – White
The configured custom color becomes part of the lamp's normal color cycle.
🌐 Multiplayer Lamp Synchronization
Lamp settings are synchronized through Valheim's networking system.
- Any player can interact with a lamp.
- The network owner processes and synchronizes the requested change.
- All players see the same selected lamp color.
- Custom colors are synchronized with the lamp.
- Turning a lamp off is synchronized for everyone.
This means one player changing a lamp will also update the lamp for the other players in the world.
💾 Persistent Lamp Settings
Lamp settings are stored in the world's network data.
This means:
- Selected lamp colors remain after logging out.
- Lamps that are turned off remain off after logging back in.
- Lamp settings survive world reloads.
- Other players joining the world see the currently saved lamp state and color.
🔨 Valheim 1.0 Build Menu Support
Moonforged Lights and Decor supports Valheim's new build-menu sorting system.
All pieces remain available under the:
Moonforged Lights and Decor
category.
They are also tagged so that they appear in Valheim's appropriate native sorting categories.
Examples:
- Lighting – Lamps and other light sources
- Furniture – Rugs, chairs, thrones, beds, benches, table
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
