Modzified_Skill_Farming
Makes the vanilla Farming skill matter for planting, scything and picking.
Install on all clients and the server. Server-synced settings follow the host when the server has the mod.
Features
- Planting: Grow Chance, Growth time reduction, Plant anywhere. A plant keeps the Farming level of the player who planted it.
- Hover a plant to see its Grow Chance, ( -X% Biome penalty ) and the time left.
- Scythe: Scythe radius expansion, Stamina reduction, and plants the vanilla Scythe skips.
- Picking and scything: Bonus yield.
Configuration
File BepInEx/config/modzified_skill_farming.cfg. The effect settings are server-synced.
- Grow chance, Growth time reduction, Cultivator stamina reduction, Scythe stamina reduction, Scythe radius expansion and Bonus yield chance each have an "at skill 0" and an "at skill max" key.
- The value moves in a straight line between the two as Farming rises. Skill max is the live skill cap.
- Plant anywhere at skill level: Farming level that allows planting in any biome. -1 turns it off.
- Out-of-biome grow chance penalty: % taken off the Grow Chance outside the native biome.
- Allow Scythe to harvest: prefab names, separated by commas. An empty list keeps vanilla.
- Default: Pickable_Mushroom_JotunPuffs, Pickable_Mushroom_Magecap, VineAsh.
Mod compatibility
- Farming by Smoothbrain: both mods change growth, biome rules, stamina and harvest. The log shows a warning when both load. Results can differ from the settings.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
