Megingjord Upgrades
Megingjord Upgrades expands Valheim's existing vanilla Megingjord through four quality tiers. It does not register a new item prefab, replace the belt, change run speed, or alter global movement limits.
Features
| Quality | Carry weight | Upgrade materials | Forge level |
| --- | ---: | --- | ---: |
| 1 | 150 | Vanilla behavior | Vanilla |
| 2 | 200 | 5 Deer Hide, 10 Iron, 5 Ymir Flesh | 2 |
| 3 | 250 | 10 Silver, 1 Dragon Tear, 5 Ymir Flesh | 3 |
| 4 | 400 | 20 Eitr, 1 Torn Spirit, 5 Ymir Flesh | 5 |
Cart-load reduction applies only to the player currently pulling a cart:
| Quality | Cart-load effect |
| --- | --- |
| 1 | 66% less weight influence |
| 2 | 83% less weight influence |
| 3-4 | No weight influence |
The Megingjord tooltip shows the active tier, carry weight, material cost, and cart-load effect in English or German according to the selected game language.
Version 1.0.2 fixes cart-load reduction in multiplayer, including carts built by another player. The behavior was verified in single-player and on a user-hosted server.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
