Loxury

Viking life, but make it comfy.

A big quality-of-life and gameplay overhaul for Valheim. Every feature can be turned on or off and tuned in the config file BepInEx/config/loxury.valheim.cfg. It is created the first time you start the game with the mod. Edit it with your mod manager's config editor or any text editor. Changes apply as soon as you save the file, with no restart needed.

Multiplayer: install Loxury for every player and on the server/host. The host's settings apply to everyone, so no one can cheat with their own config.

Features

Player

  • Extra carry weight (absolute bonus)
  • Stamina & fall damage: multipliers for sprint stamina, jump stamina and fall damage
  • Smooth health regen: food regen flows continuously instead of in 10-second chunks
  • Instant equip for armor and weapons
  • Use equipment while swimming
  • Longer build range and auto-pickup range
  • Rested buff duration multiplier

Death

  • Keep food, active potions/meads, skills (no skill loss), equipped items, or everything (no tombstone). Each is a separate option.

Food

  • More food slots (e.g. 4 instead of 3)
  • No food degradation: full stats until the food runs out
  • Food duration multiplier or infinite food
  • When you can eat again (e.g. at 50% time left, or any time)

Travel

  • Quick teleport that also works when you are the host. It skips the fixed 8-second portal wait but still waits for the destination terrain to load, so you never fall through the world.
  • Quick respawn: shorter death screen and respawn loading
  • Watch the night pass while sleeping, fast-forwarded instead of a black screen (adjustable duration)

Building

  • Free building with modes: Structures only, Structures + furniture, Everything.

Exploit-proof: pieces built for free are permanently marked in the world save and never drop materials, whether deconstructed or destroyed, even after a restart or after turning free building off. Normally built pieces still drop materials. Plants, feast tables and items placed as pieces are never free.

  • Build stability multiplier: build higher and further
  • No rain damage on structures
  • Indestructible portals (the hammer can still deconstruct them)
  • Infinite fires and lights: campfires, hearths, torches, braziers and sconces keep burning once lit. Smelters, kilns, furnaces and ovens are not affected.

Crafting & storage

  • Auto-repair everything when you use a workstation
  • Craft and build from nearby chests, including fueling and loading smelters, kilns, furnaces, fires and ovens straight from nearby chests
  • Quick stack into nearby chests (key G or the button under your inventory; hotbar excluded by default)
  • Trash button under your inventory: pick up an item and click it to delete it
  • Shift + E fills a station to the max: smelters, kilns, furnaces, refineries, windmills, spinning wheels, fires, ovens, shield generators and ballistas
  • Multi-user chests: several players can use the same chest at the same time. Only the chest's owner ever changes the chest; everyone else's actions are sent to them as requests, so items can't be duplicated or lost.
  • Stack size multiplier
  • Arrow crafting cost multiplier (arrows only)

Farming

  • Grow time multiplier and a grow timer when hovering plants
  • Grid planting: plants snap to a grid with exactly the spacing each crop needs to stay healthy (hold Left Alt to place freely)
  • Plant berries, mushrooms and flowers: raspberries, blueberries, cloudberries, three kinds of mushrooms, thistle and dandelions. Saplings look like a young version of the plant. Planted ones give a configurable harvest multiplier.

Production

  • Smelter family speed and capacity (smelter, blast furnace, kiln, eitr refinery, windmill, spinning wheel)
  • Fermenter speed, beehive speed and capacity

World

  • Shared server map: everything anyone explores is revealed for everyone, and map markers (except death markers and beds) are shared. Players who were offline get it all when they join.
  • Passive Forsaken powers: powers are always active at redu

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
