LetMePlay
Collection of tweaks and mods to improve player experience and accessibility.
Instructions
- Most toggles/options are initially disabled, there are two ways to toggle them.
- In-game ConfigurationManager
- Press F1 in-game to open the ConfigurationManager and navigate to "Let Me Play" section.
- Edit the BepInEx configuration file
- Start the game once to generate the configuration file.
- Navigate to and open: \Valheim\BepInEx\config\redseiko.valheim.letmeplay.cfg
Features
Wards
- Disable wards from flashing their blue shield.
Inventory
- Fixes interaction with non-player items (GoblinSpear, etc) in player inventory and chests.
- These items will have the grey hammer icon and the prefab name.
- These items will have a special description and this mod as the crafter name.
Build
- Disables the yellow placement indicator when building.
- If you are using gizmo, the gizmo indicator will also be disabled.
Weather
- Disable snow particles during Snow/SnowStorm weather.
- Disable ash particles during Ashrain weather.
SpawnArea
- Removes any null prefabs in in SpawnArea.m_prefabs on SpawnArea.Awake().
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
