About this mod Author’s original text

LetMeBuild

Use Hammer, Hoe, Cultivator and Scythe without action stamina costs or durability loss. Building-tool actions require no nearby crafting stations.

Features

  • Build, dismantle, repair, terraform and cultivate without action stamina costs or durability loss.
  • Use Hammer, Hoe and Cultivator build menus without a nearby station, including paved stone paths.
  • Harvest with the Scythe without attack stamina costs or durability loss.
  • Dismantle and repair world and ruin pieces with the Hammer, including marble pieces that are absent from the build menu.
  • Supports other materials and modded pieces added to the standard Hammer table.
  • Keeps normal material costs, structural support, ward protection, no-build zones and other placement/removal restrictions.

Objects must still support removal or repair in Valheim. LetMeBuild does not add ruin pieces to the build menu or unlock undiscovered pieces. Crafting recipes at station interfaces remain unchanged. Running, jumping and other movement still cost stamina.

Material checks and consumption remain controlled by the game, allowing build-from-containers mods to handle their own material sources.

Installation

Install with a -compatible mod manager, or copy LetMeBuild.dll into BepInEx/plugins/LetMeBuild/ with BepInEx installed. This is a client-side mod; install it on each player's client that should use it.

Configuration

The configuration is generated at BepInEx/config/uk.ainzworth.valheim.letmebuild.cfg.

[General]

Enabled = true

Scan Interval Seconds = 1.0

Log Changes = false

The scan interval controls how often newly added Hammer pieces are detected. Disabling the mod restores the original station requirements and durability behavior. Existing durability is preserved; this does not automatically repair tools.

Build from source

Run from the source package in PowerShell:.\build.ps1 -Install

For a custom Valheim installation:.\build.ps1 -ValheimDir "D:\Games\Valheim" -Install

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin

  1. The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
  2. Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
  3. Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
  4. Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.

Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
