Jotun's Stomach — 0.2.2
Haldor sells an enchanted Jotun Stomach after Yagluth is defeated. Consume it once to permanently unlock a fourth food slot for your character.
- Default price: 2,000 coins.
- The fourth slot includes the native empty background and appears only on upgraded characters.
- Four different foods use the normal food durations and bonuses.
- Further stomachs cannot unlock more slots.
- The upgrade follows your character through normal character saves.
- Inventory and trader icons use the new transparent Norse fantasy artwork. The dropped item retains the original simple procedural 3D stomach model.
Installation
Create a separate test profile Mod Manager and install the dependencies listed in manifest.json. Extract JotunsStomach-0.2.2.zip and copy its BepInEx folder into your profile folder. The DLL must be at BepInEx/plugins/RomsligMage/RomsligMage.dll. Replace the previous DLL; do not keep two copies. Start modded.
The original assembly name, plugin GUID, prefab ID and character save key are retained for compatibility with v0.1.0. Configuration is still BepInEx/config/tk.valheim.romsligmage.cfg.
For multiplayer, install v0.2.2 and compatible dependencies on every client and the server (including a dedicated server). Jotunn enforces matching mod versions. The Haldor price is synchronized from the server and is administrator-controlled.
Validation
Version 0.2.2 compiles against the local Valheim installation with zero compiler errors. The build reported NuGet audit connectivity warnings. Fourteen production HUD regression checks with scene graph doubles passed, and compiled network compatibility metadata was checked. The real installed HUD prefab hierarchy was inspected. v0.2.1 purchase and four-food consumption were confirmed by the user; v0.2.2 has not been tested in game or online. Follow TESTPLAN.md before using your main character or world. Runtime patches reject unknown food-limit patterns; unsupported HUD layouts prevent consumption.
Before uninstalling, let all food expire while the mod is active, save and exit. Back up your character before testing.
Build
Requires.NET SDK 8 or newer. Run:./build.ps1 -ValheimPath 'D:/Steam/steamapps/common/Valheim' -ProfilePath 'C:/YOUR/MOD/PROFILE'
The build creates an installation ZIP without installing anything. Game and dependency DLLs are not distributed.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
