🛡️ Ironbound — Valheim RPG Modpack
Ironbound is a curated Valheim modpack that reshapes the game into a deep, gear-driven RPG experience. It emphasizes meaningful progression, impactful combat, and long-term character growth while preserving Valheim’s survival core.
Built for co-op first, Ironbound rewards preparation, teamwork, and smart builds. Death is part of the journey — progress is earned and kept.

🌍 World & Save Guidelines
⚠️ Starting a new world is strongly recommended
Ironbound modifies enemy spawns, loot tables, progression systems, and skills. Existing worlds may work, but balance and progression are designed around fresh saves.
Do NOT remove mods mid-save. Doing so may result in:
- Broken characters or skills
- Missing or corrupted items
- World instability
Always back up your saves.
🎮 Recommended Playstyle
- Difficulty: Normal or Hard
- Progress through biomes naturally — avoid rushing bosses
- Gear quality, enchantments, and preparation matter more than raw level
- Expect higher enemy density and tougher encounters, especially at night
Ironbound is balanced to reward planning over speed.
👥 Multiplayer Notes
- All players must use the same Ironbound version
- Dedicated servers must install the full modpack
- Server-side systems sync automatically when configured correctly
Ironbound shines in group play, encouraging roles, builds, and cooperation — but solo play is fully viable.
🧠 Intended Behavior (Not Bugs)
- Increased enemy variety and difficulty
- Slower, more meaningful progression
- Gear-driven power scaling
- Reduced death punishment compared to vanilla

🛠️ Support & Updates
Ironbound is a curated RPG experience. Some mods may be removed, added and/or changed.
When reporting issues:
- Include clear reproduction steps
- Attach logs when possible
- Confirm you are using the correct modpack version
Updates may adjust balance, progression pacing, or difficulty.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
