Sort your inventory and storages with one click or one key.
Features
- Sort buttons next to the storage panel and your inventory panel.
- Sort key (default T) sorts the open storage while the inventory screen is open. With no storage open, it sorts your own inventory (can be turned off).
- Storages fill from the bottom by default — sorted items start at the bottom-left slot and work upward. Switch to top-first in the config.
- Two sort modes: alphabetical, or by quantity (item types you have the most of come first).
- Reverse order option.
- Stack merging — partial stacks of the same item are combined.
- Hotbar is left alone when sorting your own inventory (configurable).
- Equipped items stay put when sorting your inventory (configurable).
- QuickStackDeposit locked slots are respected — items in locked slots stay put, and everything else is sorted around them.
Works with carts, ships, and any other container.
Configuration
BepInEx/config/dreamscapist.valheim.inventorysort.cfg — editable in r2modman's config editor or live with ConfigurationManager.

Notes
- Items with custom data (e.g. from other mods) are sorted but never merged.
- In multiplayer, only the player who has the storage open can sort it — same as moving items by hand.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
