Installation (Automatic)
- Install the mod manager r2modman.
- Use the mod manager to install the mod by directly importing it.
- Launch the game.
Installation (Manual)
- Install the BepInExPack Valheim mod.
- Extract the mod's DLL file, "HS_CraftableBossItems.dll", into the following folder: \steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\plugins
- Launch the game.
Configuration
Note: With Ashlands, you will need to set HideManagerGameObject to True in the BepInEx.cfg file to be able to use ConfigurationManger
The configuration file allows you to specify requirements and station levels. You can access the configuration through the following methods:
With r2modman Mod Manager:
- Open the mod manager and navigate to the "Config Editor" menu.
- Modify the configuration settings according to your preferences.
With Manual Installation:
- Locate the configuration file in this folder: \steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\config
- Open the file named "hs.craftablebossitems.cfg" using a text editor.
- Edit the configuration settings to your liking.
Make sure to save the changes to the configuration file before launching the game.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
