Press H to fade your ship's sail near-invisible (not fully hidden, so up/down state stays visible). Synced across everyone on the same boat.

HideSail
Press a key to fade your ship's sail near-invisible while sailing - handy for screenshots or just
a cleaner look - without fully hiding it, so you can still tell at a glance whether the sail is up
or down.
Bugs / suggestions: Discord
Behaviour
- Board any ship, press the hotkey (default H) → the sail fades to a configurable low
transparency instead of disappearing completely.
- Press again → sail fades back to fully visible.
- The hidden/visible state is synced across everyone on the same boat: if one player toggles it,
everyone else on board sees the same state, including players who board later.
Configuration
Settings live in BepInEx/config/zenox.hidesail.cfg, generated on first run:
| Setting | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
| HideSailKey | H | Key that toggles the sail's visibility. |
| SailHiddenAlpha | 0.01 | Transparency when hidden (0 = fully invisible, 1 = fully opaque). |
| UpdateInterval | 0.1 | Seconds between checks for which ship you're currently on. |
Multiplayer
Fully multiplayer-synced via the ship's own network data - works correctly regardless of which
player currently owns/simulates the ship.
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
