HexDevTools
HexDevTools adds an in-game developer tools panel to Valheim, providing quick access to common developer commands through a simple UI.
Features
- Toggle the DevTools panel with a configurable hotkey (default: F8)
- Enable devcommands and debugmode
- Quick access to common developer commands:
- No Build Cost
- Fly
- Free Fly
- God Mode
- Day Time
- Night Time
- Reset Time of Day
- Spawn prefabs with autocomplete
- Close the panel with the Close button, F8, Esc, or by clicking outside the panel
- Uses Valheim-style UI through Jötunn
Dedicated Servers
Valheim restricts many developer commands on dedicated servers.
To use HexDevTools on a dedicated server, install Server Devcommands by JereKuusela on both the server and client, and ensure your Steam ID / PlayFab ID is listed in the server's adminlist.txt file.
HexDevTools provides a UI for developer commands but does not bypass Valheim's built-in server restrictions.
Default Hotkey
F8
The hotkey can be changed in the configuration file.

Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
