HelpfullWards
HelpfullWards adds a family of craftable, fully configurable wards to Valheim.
Each ward is built like a vanilla ward and acts on everything within its radius.
Wards
Elemental wards (damage enemies)
Every few seconds each elemental ward deals damage to nearby enemies. Players
and Dvergr are excluded by default (configurable).
| Ward | Damage type |
|------|-------------|
| Fire Ward | Fire |
| Frost Ward | Frost |
| Poison Ward | Poison |
| Lightning Ward | Lightning |
| Spirit Ward | Spirit |
Utility wards
- Repair Ward — automatically repairs damaged constructions within range.
- Healing Ward — periodically heals et remove effects on players within range.
Configuration
Everything is editable through the BepInEx config file
(BepInEx/config/Mordel2Berde.HelpfullWards.cfg) or an in-game config manager:
- Damage / heal amount per tick
- Radius of each ward
- Tick / repair / heal interval
- Crafting recipe of each ward (ItemName:Amount, comma-separated)
- Factions excluded from elemental damage
Multiplayer
The mod must be installed on the server and on every client (same major.minor
version); clients without it are refused. The server's configuration is pushed
to all clients on connection and whenever an admin changes it in-game.
Translations
English and French are bundled. Additional languages can be added by dropping a.json file into the Translations folder next to the plugin DLL.
Installation
Use a mod manager ( Mod Manager / r2modman) — recommended.

Jotunn.

- Jotunn (the Valheim Library)
- JsonDotNET
Install & use Install: BepInEx plugin
- The archive from playbuff is the mod itself — usually a BepInEx plugin (a .dll or a plugin folder once unzipped).
- Recommended: use a community mod manager (such as r2modman) — pick this game, import the mod, and the manager sets up BepInEx and its dependencies for you.
- Manual route: install the BepInEx loader in the game folder, then drop the unzipped .dll or plugin folder into BepInEx/plugins/.
- Launch the game — the BepInEx console logs every plugin it loads; seeing this mod in the log means it is installed.
Mods with listed dependencies need those installed too, or they will not load. Options are usually changed in-game or in the plugin's config file. In multiplayer, the host and every client need the same mods installed.
Install these first, or the mod will not work:
